This week we managed to get a specialist chair on a back load to Torquay, saving the courier carriage charge from the Midlands. The young lady in receipt of the chair was overjoyed at her new set of wheels – the smile says it all.

It had to be there ASAP, but our client didn’t trust the post office. One key in existence to the comms room of client that needed access without delay. BVC Couriers saved the day with a dedicated delivery to Selco Weybridge from Redditch. The photo shown was our official Proof of Delivery.

We were asked to collect a new Astra Sri from Hemel Hemstead, and fortunately enough we already had a courier consignment down there so Roger, another of our experienced drivers hooked a lift and got dropped off at the appropriate Vauxhall dealership. Couple of hours later, back in the midlands after being carefully driven by BVC, it arrived safely and handed over to the client who was entertaining at the Belfry. One of our passing drivers picked Roger up and dropped him at BVC HQ in Cannock – Team work makes the dream work!

Deliver like a Ninja

A parcel shelf and electric charger unit needed to be taken to Nottingham, and luckily enough one of our bikers was on the way to the Derby v Birmingham game, so he put paniers on to accommodate the charger, and strapping the parcel shelf to his back like a Ninja – this meant they could be dropped off on a Sunday morning before the 1pm kick off. All arrived safely and made it on time for the game which ended 2-2 after extra time last minute equaliser from Derby

While dropping of fire doors and mirrors to a well known national hotel chain we came across some spectacular views. None more spectacular than the Kelpies in Glasgow. The route on this particular consignment included, delivering to Chester le Street, Dumferline, Perth, Dundee, Falkirk and Ayr – all in one day. We’ve been trusted by this client for some time now and happy to say that we incurred no bad luck as once again the mirrors arrived safely

Storm Arwen vs BVC

Over the weekend, areas of the UK was battered by a wintery storm Arwen. Minus 10 degrees temperatures and 100mph winds have wreaked havoc, knocking over trees, wiping out power sources, and causing a blizzard of snow.

Travel and transport seemed to face to worst disruption. At Stanstead Airport, train services were cancelled and hundreds of passengers had their journey delayed. South Western Railway services were also facing disrupted due to “multiple trees and obstructions blocking the railway”, while warnings of “significant damage” north of York came from London North East Railway.

Whilst much of transport was disrupted by the ‘coldest night of the season’, nevertheless, at BVC couriers we have braved the cold and the miserable weather, and the snow did not stop us making a delivery this weekend.

BVC were on the road by 5am, travelling from Staffordshire, through Birmingham, and then journeying down to Oxfordshire to make an overnight delivery of signage products for a Classic Car event HERO, Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation.
